Hello, I’m Maria: nature lover, floral artist, and founder of Luna in the Wild.

My first career was all beauty samples, photoshoots, and press deadlines – a fast-paced chapter in the world of magazines. But after a few life plot twists (a cancer diagnosis, a career pivot, and babies – not necessarily in that order), everything changed.

A role at Scarlet & Violet reignited my love of colour and the joyful unpredictability of flowers. I swapped tube stations for trees, and Luna in the Wild came to life – a natural step that brought together everything I'd grown to love.

Colour is my superpower. Texture is my language.

My approach to flowers is instinctive. I'm big on colour, obsessed with texture, and not afraid to try something unexpected. I design with feeling, not strict instruction, letting the palette, the season, and your energy lead the way.

The same artistic eye shapes everything I do. When I'm not in the studio, I'm often at the kitchen table, playing with oil pastels, creating still lifes, and crafting alongside my children. It all feeds the same creative instinct: a love of colour, a fascination with form, and the belief that the best work is always made by hand.

“Just wanted to say thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for your and the team’s incredible work over our wedding weekend.”

Luna in the Wild —a Bath-based wedding floral studio creating bespoke, wildly expressive, and seasonally-led designs for couples who want flowers with colour, character and creative freedom

Bits and blooms – things that make my heart sing.

Wild swimming. Ancient trees. Long walks that turn into muddy detours. The beach, always. Collecting shells with my kids. Someone else cooking. The southwest coast. Clashing prints. Film photography. Seafood, ideally by the sea. A good book. Birdsong. A crisp, frosty morning. A cup of Earl Grey I actually get to drink hot.

And being able to donate a portion of profits to charities close to my heart – that's the really good stuff.
